The Larry Hughes Family Foundation & Morgan Stanley present Casino Night 2008 from 7 p.m. to midnight Saturday, Aug. 9, at the Hilton Ballpark Hotel in downtown St. Louis. St. Louis's own, Larry Hughes of the Chicago Bulls, will serve as captain of the cruise ship. He will be joined by other NBA players and local dignitaries who will serve as celebrity dealers. There will be music provided by a disc jockey, food and drinks. There also will be a live auction and lots of giveaways. The Larry Hughes Family Foundation is committed to educating the public and assisting families on the need of organ donors. Cost is $50. Auditions

Audition applications are being accepted for the Community Music School of Webster University's Orchestras and Ensembles. Students ages 7 through high school are encouraged to audition for the school's Young People's Symphonic or Concert Orchestras, String Orchestra, String Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble and Jazz Lab Ensemble. Orchestras and ensembles rehearse weekly at the Community Music School's headquarters, 535 Garden Ave. in Webster Groves.
